« on: February 22, 2013, 06:15:50 PM »It's a game where people can shoot lightning from their hands, teleport, fly, make oil come out and grab you, use ice to make you float in the air, and jump off of high buildings and not only be completely fine, but completely destroy everything aound them. I think the RFI makes enough sense.

« on: February 22, 2013, 12:03:38 PM »The game will definitely have enemy vehicles which the player faces, APCs are there since why even bother putting them into the trailer. No word from helis but I think they are guaranteed to be in the game for the military.
There will definitely be faction with super powers with power struggle going in them and the player has to side the other side in them. Or just help the DUP (what ever it was).
My guess is that player will face 3 super powered enemies as bosses and 2-3 heavily armored or vehicularized human bosses.
DUP stands for “Department of Unified Protection.” Following the concluding events in inFAMOUS 2 after the East Coast was decimated by a new breed of people powerful enough to destroy entire cities without weapons; the “Department of Unified Protection” was created and tasked with hunting down these superhuman “bio-terrorists” in the name of keeping citizens safe from these superhumans.

« on: February 22, 2013, 11:53:47 AM »If Cole wasn't going to have some effect on the series, why not just make this a brand new IP? It already doesn't not partake in a lot of the trends that are characteristic to the series. There are seemingly no electricity powers, the city is given a real life name and not a fake one, the new character has seemingly no relation to any characters in the series. Unless they're sort of imagining this game to be like Bioshock: Infinite where the only similar characteristics are the gameplay and in that it continues the philosophy of engrossing superhero gameplay in a huge city then I bet Cole's going to show up or be mentioned at some point.
The inFAMOUS universe holds so many interesting characters that we wanted to explore a new storyline and hero, while still staying rooted in the open world that the franchise is known for. Second Son is a brand new storyline, but does take place several years following the concluding events of inFAMOUS 2.
The core of that universe is rooted in the idea of an ordinary person getting super powers and deciding how to use them. That's the inFAMOUS universe that we're all so excited to share with you.
